Mike owns the license of Maintain To Profit Auckland Central, Mike has an engineering background, has in excess of 26 years working directly with customers who started his career as a field service engineer, then over the years moved into other roles, starting with client/ technical/agent training, service management, project management, and in the last 6 years, reported to a Senior Director of Solutions as the Global Resources/Installations Mgr. who’s responsibility was to work with the project management teams to ensure installations in NZ and around the globe were resourced while ensuring the staff/installers safety was maintained at a high standard. Also managed some larger projects when there was a shortage of Project Managers or if the business needed someone well versed in customer relations, service, and projects for the larger cooperate customers.
A lot of Mikes years was living and working abroad, he lived between NZ and Europe, then in 2005 was offered a position to go the states to setup a service structure and build a professional mech and tech service team, so moved his family where they lived for 7 years, in 2012 Mike and family returned to NZ.
Mike has worked directly with many people/clients in many countries, and for many years. Has a broad understanding and appreciation working with the different cultures and language challenges though believes this isn’t a barrier if you want to understand others or help others understand you.
Experience with building/renovations is from working with his older brother who is the real builder in the family and renovating his own properties over the years which quickly became a passionate hobby, with a means to learn other hands-on skills.
“Married to my lovely wife Ruth, we have 3 boys (18,20 & 25), a beautiful granddaughter & mama, 2 stray cats who decided to move in and a dog (my shadow) who I inherited. We’re a water polo family, absolutely love the sport! Until recently, had a wakeboard boat for many years, boys loved tubing, wake, knee, skie boarding also being anchored for hours to swim, baith, eat and of course bomb off the boat
